Weather conditions force changes in Stage 3

26 setembro 2024

The third stage of the Rally de Portugal Histórico was shortened in the morning section due to adverse weather conditions. The rally teams departed from Viseu towards Lousada, with the city of Fafe hosting a regrouping of the teams before the afternoon section.

After passing through Lousada and Fafe, the final section of the third stage includes two climbs up the Nossa Senhora dos Remédios Hillclimb in Lamego, starting at 19:15, before heading back to Viseu, where the teams will gather at the end of the day near the Montebelo Hotel.

Following the second stage, which connected Figueira da Foz to Viseu with a stop in Arganil, the Belgian teams continue to lead the Automóvel Club de Portugal’s event. Ruben Maes and Yves Noelanders are in first place with their Porsche 914/6, while record rally winners Yves Deflandres and Jennifer Hugo (Porsche 911) are in second place, trailing their compatriots by 23.3 points.

Considered one of the most important historical regularity rallies in Europe, the Rally de Portugal Histórico features teams from nine countries and a lineup of classic cars built between 1957 and 1990.
